Through our international partner, we offer professional repair services for propellers, drives, and gear housings.
Our partner’s workshop was founded in 1952. Initially active in general metalworking, a dedicated department for marine applications was soon established. With the installation of specialized tools and equipment, the production and repair of marine propellers began in 1956. Contracts with all major manufacturers enabled the expansion of production facilities for product-specific pitch, rake, and geometric constructions.
As a result, they became capable of faithfully reconstructing and tuning propellers of all types and brands. For special propeller series such as Rolla Propeller, DuoProps, High-Five, Revolution4, and many more, they possess original “tuning” models (over 5,000 negative molds) to precisely restore deformed blades. The use of modern NC machines and dynamic balancing is standard practice, as is the continuous training of their employees according to the latest standards.
With this specialized workshop equipment and many years of experience in the propeller industry, they offer their customers highly precise and reliable services, including:
- Repair of aluminum, bronze, nibral, and stainless-steel propellers up to 2.5 m in diameter
- Adjustment of propeller speed for optimal performance
- Modification of pitch/rake and/or diameter, tuning, and edge sharpening
- Replacement of defective rubber couplings
- Conversion to plastic hub systems (Flo-Torq II, Reflex Hub, XHS-System)
- Welding of drive housings (cooled, without disassembling the gearbox!)
- Static and dynamic balancing of all types
- Pressing in/out of rubber shaft bearings (shaft brackets, stern tubes)
- Cleaning and coating of all surfaces (mirror polishing, antifouling, priming)
- Grinding, welding, and turning of propellers and marine components
- Computerized calculations and consulting for marine or hydrodynamic constructions
Propeller balancing is performed electronically, capable of detecting and correcting invisible casting defects. Balancing is done with a precision of less than 1 gram, using a three-dimensional layering process — regardless of propeller size.
They also replace old or damaged rubber hubs. Both original parts and reinforced replacement models are available. Older Mercury / Mercruiser propellers can be converted from rubber blocks to FloTorq-II / XHS systems, and vice versa.
For many Volvo-Penta DuoProps and AQ propellers, there is an option to upgrade to stronger rubber hubs that are less likely to slip or shear.
